We had such a fabulous time in Arkansas that I couldn't fit it all into one post! The weather was definitely cooler than Texas and Las Vegas...which we liked because who wants to celebrate Christmas while sporting pit stains? Not ME!
Bon and I love visiting our Nannie and Papa's farm in Mountain View. They have a cattle farm in the Ozarks and it's also where my Mom grew up. It's so beautiful there and the sunset is breathtaking. I always feel at peace and at home when visiting. I could stay there forever and let Nannie take care of me and make Mickey Mouse pancakes every day...and chocolate gravy of course!
Amongst all the Paula Deen style fried cooking that would make you "spank yo Momma!" we also celebrated Jarrett's first birthday, visited downtown Mountain View for pizza from Tommy's (extra cheese please), and visited an embroidery shop that is super cute and CHEAP! I cannot find anywhere in Texas that does embroidery like this store and it's SO cheap! I can't wait to go back next time we visit and I'm going to start stockpiling on things I want monogrammed.
So here's a little recap....
The town where they still play fiddles and clog dance
Lots of WalMart'n & Sonic :)
Starbucks with Jen Jen (who now graces the Starbucks wall) and Connor's first teeny tiny TCU hat from the embroidery shop
Jarrett's first birthday and visiting Papa's grave for Christmas
We had to get a pic of the boys in the tub :)
Isn't it just beautiful here.....I want to go back already....
Life is slowly returning to normal again, but I have not taken down the tree yet. I think I'll wait until after New Years and try to cling onto whatever Christmas moments are left....why do I always get so depressed after Christmas is over??? It's all this hype building up to one day and before you know it it's gone!
This year has been an incredible blessing. I have been so blessed by family and friends...and blogging and meeting all of you! I don't get so homesick because I feel like I have so many friends...even if it's on the computer you all are so special to me :)

What a wonderful Christmas!!! Looks like y'all had the perfect time with everyone all together :)
And don't worry about your tree - mine won't be coming down this year until after Jan 9th since I am out of town - can't imagine what would happen to all my decorations if my hubby put them all away...hehehehe!
We enjoy going to Mt. View... Dave loves all the old bluegrass on the square.
I feel exactly the same about taking down Christmas stuff. I'm so sad for days.
