In Remembrance Linkup

Everyone has their own story to tell about September 11, 2001.  I am sure everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing....it is a day we all will never forget.  I can't believe it has been 10 years.  The time has gone so quickly, but for some I'm sure it's gone by slowly and sadly.

I can't imagine.

I've talked about our 9-11 experience on this blog before.  I know that day changed our lives forever, I think it changed everyone's life in some way or another.

We are so blessed to live in this country.  Even though our country has had a rough time lately, we should still be grateful for our freedom, those who fight for it, and those who've lost their lives.  That day forever changed the course of history.  Nothing will be the same, but God has a plan and in that I trust.

Thank you Lord for this life I live, for the ones I love, and for the ones I've lost.  This world is not the end, it's only the beginning of eternity.........

Thought I would share some pictures we took in March while visiting Summer & Adam in NYC.  They are very touching and may help you reflect on the memory of 9-11....

 Cross beam from the tower

New buildings being built on ground zero

Replica of the 9-11 memorial fountains

Also wanted you to see Iraq.  This is where our soldiers are fighting...pray for them.

Terence took these in 2003

 Getting ready to deploy
 Underground bunker
 Terence's bed :-)

 Tent city

 Oil fields
 All the supplies

May we never forget.

Your photos are fantastic and they're an excellent way to share this story. This is a perfect example of how photos can tell the story better than words.

Still 10 years later my heart goes out to EVERYONE who lost someone. I can not even imagine the pain they go through every day.

Now, us Americans needs to stand up and take a stand for our country. Hopefully this 10 year will be a good reminder of this.

Great link up Becky!

Such a heartbreaking day.
I was in my 3rd period Biology class when we had the TV on and the teacher was freakin out. I didn't understand the severity of it till I got home and resaw what had happened.
