We have the Ickies

I've been out of commission on the computer this week because we have all been a bunch of sickies in our house. Connor sounds like Darth Vader according to his Aunt Rebecca! LOL! He is so conjested and I don't know what to do to help him at this age because most medications are for 2 years and older. Poor little guy :(

Halloween is right around the corner....are ya'll going to dress up? I want to, but I have NO idea what I would be! I have been baking a lot lately and I'll post the recipe to the cream cheese banana bread below. I was looking at Halloween cakes today and look at these creepy cakes.......
eeeek!
This one is really cute!

Yikes!

BANANA BREAD RECIPE

3/4 cup butter
softened
8 ounces cream cheese softened
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (about 4 medium)
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Serves 12-24
350 degrees for 1 hour

And a new video! Connor is 7 1/2 months now and he's learning very quickly! Daddy and I were "click click clicking" with our tongue and he picked up on it and did it too! It was so cute!

OMG - he is just so big!!!! And just standing there by himself???? Wow - he is so strong!

Sorry to hear about all those yucky germs invading your house - no fun! Have you taken him to the dr to see if they can give you something? When Brooklynn was younger, they prescribed some decongestant drops - called C-Phen drops - they worked great - she could sleep at night with no probs. She ended up giving us an ongoing refill for them since she was always battling a cold from daycare. Also have you tried the vicks baby rub - I just rub it on their backs and on the bottoms of their feet and then put socks on them or something to keep them covered. Also we used humidifiers in their rooms too.

Hope he gets to feeling better soon! :)

I am so sorry you guys are icky...we have been too. I am hoping we can stay healthy for awhile. This time of year is terrible for germs.

You have the big duck!!!! This makes me so happy! I gave the pink version of that duck to my coworker when she had her little girl who is now 9 months and she LOVES her duck! She uses it in the bath, as a swimming pool during the summer, a play house in the living room, and a toy box! Who knew a giant duck had so many uses. I am so getting one of those when I have a baby.
I hope you all get to feeling better soon!

PS - THANK YOU so much for posting that recipe! yummmmmmmmm :)

Ewwww hope y'all are feeling better soon! I've heard a methol oil in the vaper machine works wonders for babes. I love the pic in the bathtub, madi has it in pink and refuses to take a bath without it, even at 18 months old! I have a feeling I'll still be seeing it when she is 3!

You should totally bake the banana bread in the shape of a skull or a zombie!
