Cankle-itis

What is a Cankle?
It's where the calf meets the ankle and become ONE.

I've got some serious cankles going on and it's scary! I wake up the next morning and "poof" they are gone! The magical disappearing cankles!

Terence thinks my cankles are funny.

T: "You look so funny!" "ha..ha..ha.."

B: "What do you mean?"

T: "Your feet look so weird" laughing....

B: "I can't help it!!! You better hush up if ya know what is good for you!"

T: Just walks away...that's right...walk away.....

MEN=Don't understand 98% of what happens to a pregnant body, therefore it's always best to just keep your mouth shut!

I bet Heidi Klum never had cankles. I mean for goodness sakes she gives birth and then the very next day she's cat walking the runway in a Victoria's Secret fashion show! What up with that? This woman is a freak of nature and I am SURE normal women don't snap back like that!

And then there is Posh Spice, or Victoria Beckham...whatever you want to call her. She's had three c-sections (all scheduled around her husband's soccer games) and I am sure she had a tummy tuck after each one. Nobody looks like this after three babies back to back right? She coined the term "Too posh to push" That is another thing that was in that video I wrote about below....women of Hollywood are scheduling their births around their work schedules. Isn't that nuts?
Anyways...I would take a picture of my cankles, but I am too embarrassed. Especially because I can't bend over and haven't been able to paint my toes in like a million zillion years. I've lost all sense of vanity and I really don't care if I go into the hospital with hairy legs....I mean it's virtually impossible right now!

I am getting my hair cut after work today! Not sure what I am going to do, but I need something done and soon before I can't get out of the house. I don't think I have had a hair cut in 7-8 months...so we shall see!

Cankles are one of the reasons I'm afraid to have children. That and not being able to shave my legs and groom my area.

But know that the cankles are just temporary and they're gonna go away.

And before you know it you'll have a sweet baby boy and you won't give a flip about your lack of ankle. And by the time you do - they'll be back.

Looking at your little baby widget I just realized - holy cow it's ON! Not long to go now! Hang in there!

Towards the end, I would always have David shave my legs. It is a miracle he didn't cut me!! HA!!

Awww... poor girl! At least they go away at night... I work with a girl who was so swollen, her cankles were here for several months! :)

Before long, you'll be holding a baby and won't care anyways... and I think your hubby was smart to walk away! haha

That was hysterical!!

Cankles are no fun - wait til after your epidural (if you have one) those are some SERIOUS cankles.

Don't worry, a few days after Mr. Connor has made his big debut they will disappear.

Have Terence shave your legs!!! Michael did for me - and he totally painted my toenails. My "area" was just sad but there was no way I was letting him near that with a razor. HA!

It's crazy to think they schedule births around work...

I have always been fairly thin but when I was pregnant I gained almost 70 lbs! I had cankles, so I feel your pain! My husband had to paint my toenails (only because I cried and begged him to)!

My SIL looks like Heidi Klum...tall and very thin...she is one of the only people I have ever known to have a baby and 2 days later wear her size 0 pants! Crazy!

Can't wait to see the new hair!

So sorry for your cankles :( I had them with my second pregnancy and they are not pretty :) BUT so worth it!!! Once little Connor comes, you will forget about all of the lovely things we have to go through to get these little bundles here!

Praying for you today :)

The cankles will be worth it, and thankfully they're the first to go! Now, I do loathe the women who are size 0, get pregnant and are size 2 and then a few days later are back to their 0's - loathe I say, loathe. It's totally unfair. They're usually the ones who never get zits, either. ;)
Your drawing cracked me up!
