October Weekend

This weekend has been pretty chill. We have been going around looking at MORE lighting stores and some other places involving the house. Today's weather has been AWESOME, it's finally feeling like fall! Yesterday we went to see our new nephew, Benjamin, in the hospital. He was 10 pounds 2 oz he's a little chunky monkey. Here are some pics of him below...
Terence holding him crying-better get used to that right?
He liked me better obviously!
Some house updates...
We have grass and landscaping
The shower was in
Countertop in bathroom
This is one of the extra bedrooms, I can't decide if I want this to be the nursery or not because of the huge window??? Does it need to be really dark in the room?
This is the other bedroom with just one small window, will this be better?
Appliances and backsplash are in too!
Kitchen floor
Back to work tomorrow....wahhhhh!!!!!
I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day while it lasts!
XOXO-Becky

Landon's room has a HUGE window and it has never seemed to bother him. I guess if they are in there from the get go, they do not know the difference?! Maybe he was just easy. Curtains would always help. But then you could always think of it, that is a wall where you cannot put anything too. Just some thoughts! The house is really coming along! How exciting!!

Obviously I don't have a baby... but I'd say go with the room with the smaller window...

Some of the babies I nannied could nap in a tanning bed for all they cared about darkness... and others had to be in a dark, dark room.

To be safe, I'd go with the darker room.

Congrats on all the house progress!

I would go with the smaller bedroom, when they get older, they will not sleep if its light out!!

From what I'm seeing, I'm loving your house, so cute! :)

I don't have a baby but I would probably say go for room with the smaller window. Little kids like to throw things and you don't want to have to replace that whole huge window. lol :)

I have no idea about babies of course, but if you wanted to use the room with the big window, you could always get huge, thick window treatments. :)

i would go with the room with the smaller window. our nursery has a nice big window i wanted to show off so we put valences up instead of curtains. well our son ended up needing a dark room espically with the summer months being longer days/daylight. Early riser and stayed up later because of the light in his room. we ended up buying black out curtains so the room was darker. of course all babies are different. also i afraid as your baby grows that window could be a safety issue. when he/she gets bigger they will want to beat on the window and kick/throw toys at it. again our 15 month old son does this. it is a beautiful window. good luck with the house.

Speaking from experience, we put our little girl in the room with the big window from the time she was home from the hospital til now! She's not had any problems sleeping --- in fact, I think it's helped, as she doesn't have to have a completely dark room (this is especially hard when you're traveling and can't pick the same environment). We made her nursery "stuff", so on the windows we just used blackout material. It is surprisingly dark. We also had the top of the window tinted, but that didn't happen until a few weeks ago (she's almost 2). I say go for the big window room if you want!

What a cutie! Love the house details! It looks similar to my parents' house in The Colony. They had their windows lined with a film that dampens the light a bit... I would go with the room that doesn't have direct sunlight for most of the day-- that way it won't get too hot.

Hi Becky,

Thanks for sharing that with us! We love your
site!! Amen & amen! :)

Hey. If you get the opportunity, would you
mind praying for the prayer requests that are
on our main page?

May the Lord bless you and your family!!

Hi Becky! Thanks for stopping by to say hello this morning! Love the house - where is your house located there in Conway? We were in the Spring Valley (not sure that's right) Subdivision. Our house (that we still own there) is located on Apple Blossom Drive after you get through the Catherine's Place Subdivision. Spring Valley doesn't seem right, but it could be. Oh well... on another note - your nephew is ADORABLE! :o) P.S. - thanks for the compliments on my fall decorations and sure, I'll be RIGHT OVER to decorate for you! :o)
