10 YEARS!!!! WHAT?

I guess there was a reason for posting all those yearbook pictures previously. This year is my ten year high school "reunion". I don't think I want to go though. I mean the people I was friends with in high school that I really would want to see I still talk to. There are a lot of people I don't really care to see! I remember when I graduated imagining how my life would be ten years from that point, and I can say it's definitely nothing like I imagined it. I wouldn't have it any other way....I have the greatest husband and the best family and friends. The Lord had truly blessed me in more ways than I could imagine!
One of mine and Bonnie's favorite movies has always been "Romy & Michelle's High school Reunion". We used to watch it over and over! We even bought the sound track to it. I think I even made Terence watch it on our first date...poor guy! And he married me anyways!

Did ya'll go to your 10 year reunion? How was it?

-If you haven't listened to Britney Spears new CD "Circus" it is SO good! An excellent work out CD. She is definitely making a come back! Here is one of our "Romy & Michelle" poses!

my school had a 5 year... went to that one. i wasted my money on a flight back to georgia. (i was in college in texas at the time) everyone was drunk from the get-go.
so i didn't waste my money on the second time around for the 10 year.

like you, i talk to the ones i want to... or care about!

My 10 year is this summer, I was just talking to my high school best friend who is on Facebook (am I the only one who isn't??) and said our high school has a FB reunion page. I'm absolutely, 100%, NOT going to our reunion. 20 years, perhaps, but not 10.

I was the class president for our class... so my class tends to let me do the arranging and planning and organizing of our reunions. I did NOT, however, have anything to do with a very casual get-together for our 5 year reunion. I had just had my oldest son at the time and it was at the beach. Nuff said.

My first reunion was our 10 year. We had a good time. I enjoyed seeing everyone. My class was small - only about 25. But, I will say, that there were still MANY interested in the partying and that pretty much aggravated me since I went to such lengths to plan a nice event.

Our 20 year reunion was AWESOME! After 10 years, these people had really changed. Most, if not all of them, are in church now and love the Lord. Some had already started having grandkids.

Our class wanted a 25 year reunion, and once again, I got that together. Even though, so many wanted (and voted for) the reunion... hardly anyone showed. We had invited teachers to come and everything and it was EMBARRASSING that so few were there. But, I truly enjoyed visiting with the ones that did come.

The one thing that always amazes me is how close our class still is when we all come together. I truly love (most of) them!!

Just saw you from becoming a follower on my blog. And can I just say, you are a woman after my own heart!! Haha. I LOVE Romy and Michelle's High school Reunion - but not many people have heard of it. IT's one of the movies I have memorized. Total classic. My ten year reunion is coming up this year and I don't think I"ll be going either. I'm with you - the friends I wanted to keep in touch with, I am. I don't care to go back and be reminded of how awful most of it was.

And YES, Britney Spear's new CD rocks. THat Circus song makes me incredibly hyper.

Glad I found you today - I think we have much in common! (o:

I went to mine and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Yeah--my life is NOTHING like I thought it would be either, but it was OK because it was more about catching up with some people, making peace with others and just looking back.
OK, end of my sappiness. :)
