30 in 30

Photobucket

Today I'm linking up with From My Grey Desk for the "30 outfits in 30 days" challenge.   You are supposed to take 30 items from your closet and make 30 outfits from them. It's a way to challenge yourself to be creative and rethink your wardrobe while trying to avoid shopping.

So here is what I chose, I mixed a top I would normally wear to work with some jeans.  Usually when I go shopping I have to ask myself "Can I wear that to work too?"  I don't want to spend my $$$ on something I can just wear on weekends!

Top: Ann Taylor Loft - Love the polka dots & ruffles
Jeans: Joe's Jeans from Anthropologie *Good if you have big badonkadonk*
Necklace: Long pearls from Forever 21 *Cheapies but good ones!*
Shoes: I ordered from Zulily. They are flats with a flower on them. I love them!  A brand called Pineapple shoes???

So that was pretty good with just FOUR items :-)

Ugh...I'm not the best "model".  Unfortunately I'm 5'3" and need to lose about 30 lbs...but alas....

Here is my outfit:

Also remember last week when I was looking for new glasses.  Well, I've seen some bloggers talking about a company called Warby Parker.  You can get 5 pairs of glasses shipped to you for free to try on.  The best part is they are only $95 with prescription & for every pair sold they donate a pair to someone in need.  I'm not sure about any of these though?  What do you think???

I just think they are too big for my face or something?  Maybe I'm not meant to wear "statement glasses"...........

Connor is ready for some fireworks!!!

Our friend Hillary made us the cutest shirt!!!

Thank you so much sweet Hillary we love it!!!

Can't wait to see all the outfits ya'll put together!!!

Don't forget to go link up!  If I can do it anyone can because I am not a fashion person :P

That sounds like a very fun challenge. I just dont know if I could keep it up for that long. I feel like I get bored of my clothes..haha. I can't wait to see what you put together.

And those glasses are so fun. That sounds like a great way to try on several pairs with out much hassle. I like the second and last pair on you the best.

Hope you have a great week :)

I don't think it's because they are statement glasses so much as they might be too high from top to bottom for your face shape. I like the last pair.

I need to take this challenge. I always end up wearing the same things over and over and over.

Love that top! Sounds like a fun challenge, but I have enough trouble with Wearing Wednesdays. ;)

I love the 2nd pair of glasses that are almost like a carmel color- those looked really cute on you!

I need to do something like that with my wardrobe. I just organized my closet over the weekend and I'm embarassed of how many tops I actually have and yet I feel like I always have nothing to wear.

Also, I like pair #2 and #5 on you the best. You can SO pull off statement glasses girl. (o;

I just got my box of Warby Parker's - order some and try them! They were out of some of the frame choices I wanted to try in specific colors so I ended up ordering random frames and then will decide on a color. It only took two days to receive my order. And I have five to make a decision or send them all back. Easy enough!!

You do not look like you need to lose 30 lbs! But I'm 5'2 and heavier than I've ever been and I do understand how much a little extra weight can feel like a lot when you're short. :( You look great though.

I recently purchased my first pair of more 'statement' glasses and really like them! I still prefer contacts most of the time, but I feel like big glasses make it look like you are owning it rather than just being stuck in glasses, yanno? I looked into Warby Parker but ended up reviewing a pair from a different site. There are quite a lot of similar sites popping up! Makes me feel like a chump for the years I was shelling out $200/pair in my optometrist office.
